Akron trailed 13-3 in the first eight minutes of play and were looking up at a 25-13 score at the half. The Vikings, behind the scoring of Josh Repkie and Kyle Winnie, outscored their opponents 19-14 in the fourth quarter. Repkie topped the Akron scoring chart with 21 points.

BAD AXE

A slow start in the first half was more than the Hatchets could overcome in the regular season finale, falling to Bay City All- Saints 74-52. Bad Axe, 5-15 overall, managed 20 points in the opening two quarters, trailing 36- 20, and came out on the short end of a 38-32 second-half score. Ethan Sisco topped the Hatchet scoring with 20 points and Luke Falannery canned 15.

LAKER

After playing to a 28-26 score at the half, Laker outscored USA 32-27 last Thursday to post a 60- 53 win. A 15-7 edge in the third quarter helped spark Laker. Chris Rowe led Laker with 16, Shay Wruble had 14 while Luke Voelker and Brody Lawrence had seven points apiece. USA was led by Josh Lakie with 19, Jake Holland tossed in 16 and Clinton Krueger scored 10. On Tuesday, Laker fell behind 33-30 in the first half before mounting a second half rally to score a 69-53 win over Bad Axe. The teams battled to a 15-15 tie in the first quarter, before Bad Axe squeezed out a 18-15 advantage in the second. Laker came out fired up in the third, racing to a 24-7 edge and sealed the deal with a slim 15-13 edge in the fourth quarter. Rowe and Voelker paced Laker in scoring, tossing in 21 and 20 points respectively and Brody Lawrence added 14. Bad Axe was led by Ethan Sisco's 17 points and Jeremy Pawlowski tossed in nine.

However, the NCTL-North champs would have nothing to do with it, and kept its outstanding season in tact, with a 52-45 win. North Huron hustled its way to a 17-13 first-quarter lead and outscored Peck 11-8 to take control at the half, 28-21. The Warriors had four players in double figures, led by Dhyse with 15.
