Art in the Park offers family fun on Labor Day Weekend
      The Thumb Arts Guild invites everyone to its ninth annual Art in the Park on Labor Day weekend. The event will take place in Gallup Park in Port Austin from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on both Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 5. Over 50 artists will display their creations for sale, along with entertainment for the entire family.

Port Austin considers neighborhood watch

      Discussions on a variety of topics, and a hand full of approvals, were made by council members at last Monday’s Port Austin Village Council meeting. The meeting started off on the right foot as council temporarily appointed Council Member Casey Bruce to the Huron Regional Water Authority Board to fill a vacancy.
